Dr. Bhandari Netralaya is a premier eye care center dedicated to providing comprehensive and advanced ophthalmic services. Led by Dr. R. K. Bhandari is a highly experienced Cataract (Phaco) and Glaucoma Surgeon with over 43 years of expertise. He completed his M.S. in Ophthalmology in 1982 and has pioneered several firsts in the region, including eye transplantation (corneal grafting) in 1988, IOL implantation, and the first phaco surgery. He received glaucoma training at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, and advanced surgical training in Germany (1991) and USA (1993). In 1999, he introduced the Diploma in Ophthalmic Techniques course to train future professionals. Dr. R K Bhandari is renowned for his surgical excellence and lifelong dedication to advancing eye care.

Dr. Bhandari is a highly experienced and internationally trained eye specialist with over 15 years of clinical and surgical excellence. A graduate from Europe and a postgraduate from Bangalore, he holds esteemed qualifications including MD and DOMS.
He completed a Cataract Fellowship of one year from Kerala and intensive 18-months Retina Fellowship in Ahmedabad and currently practices as a Cataract Refractive and Retina Consultant, delivering expert care for complex ophthalmological(eye) conditions. Dr. Bhandari is also a recognized expert in Refractive and Cataract Surgery, helping patients reduce or eliminate their dependence on glasses. His skill set includes advanced laser treatments for Retina, Injections for Retina like in Diabetic Retinopathy, ARMD, Glaucoma and PCO(after cataract).
During his training, Dr. Bhandari performed the highest number of cataract surgeries, setting a record for surgical volume and precision. He has also trained numerous doctors under his guidance, sharing his knowledge and passion for high-quality ophthalmic care.
